Coronavirus could delay pay parity for another 30 years

In a report that surprises no one, women are bearing the brunt of the burden of changes affecting workers during COVID-19 lockdowns. The Telegraph reports that coronavirus will have long-lasting detrimental effects to women’s careers — from the additional household responsibilities, to which sectors have had greater job loss, to lack of childcare — and the impact will be felt for many years to come. This report comes from the Telegraph’s recently-launched campaign, Equality Check, working to push the UK government to address the pandemic’s economic impact on women.
